Forum film-maker's films distribution deal...

ocay id like to say ( ounce again ) its a great idea but is any of this shit gonna be made ! to many things are good ideas and never made, it well may be already be in the making but if it isnt id realy like to see this compilation made !

please ( putting it basically ) keep us updated how many peopl ehave agreed, if any, and wether or not its gonna be done, icos i realy think it should be.

Right.

So far I have two submissions from ppl on this board.

I know a couple of other film-makers who may allow inclusion of some of their work if I approach them.

Then there's my body of work to pick from.

Probably enough to make a VCD, but, people, only TWO people from this board with any content to offer??!!

I realise being a non-commercial venture may make it unnattractive.

I reckon, once I have finished with other commitments, I should be able to get a CD out sometime in November.

Keep at it! Don't let this affect your
commitment to making this work. People
will come on board, I'm sure people will
join when it starts happening.

Maybe there should be a web site, in the
same style as http://www.irtc.org/ (This
one is for raytracing, but it doesn't
matter).

Maybe you could do this as a competition,
(people love that), with each person
submitting a short gets a few votes (for
others).

I know its worth it)

Things that probably need to be on the web
site (IMO) -

Contact E-mail Address to send submissions
to. Sample submission form.

The defined 'charter', e.g. we give away
our work for this project, but retain
copyright, etc.

List of who is actually in, with links to
their web site, short paragraph talking
about them, their work.

Ability to order the CD on-line, I think
share-it offer VISA card sales without
having any startup fee. (Usually for
shareware programs, but you could probably
use it for this.)

Maybe even this thread as a 'history' to
the whole proceedings.

Andy et al,

Those are v.good eye-deers, but I personally wouldn't have time to worry about such things.

All I wanna do is compile the CD/VHS/MiniDV and start distributing mail-order to begin with and see where it leads.

Under the terms of The Agreement, anyone else could take on other distribution methods, so long as it was non-profit.

Which reminds me, I will have to come up with some sort of release form for each short's maker, just to spell out what this project is all about.
